Waste Conversion

GTL Technology

Our GTL technology can process 180,000 kgs or 180 tons of mixed waste per day. It will convert 1,000 Kgs of waste into a minimum of 550 litres of ULSD (Ultra low sulphur diesel) fuel. Our smallest plant can process 60 tons of plastic per day and produce 33,000 litres of zero sulphur fuels per day. The technology will convert waste into premium clean-burning, ready to use synthetic fuels, providing overall near zero net GHG emissions, and improving air quality. A pre-project analysis with CAPEX is completed for each customer, prior to starting the project.

FEEDSTOCK including:

  • Biomass
  • Refused Derived Fuel (RDF)
  • Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)
  • Mixed Plastics
  • Ground Tires
  • Animal Manure
  • Wood Residues (including wood chips, sawdust, bark and treated lumber)
  • Packing Waste
  • Medical waste
  • Vegetable waste (shells, seeds, corn, rice)
  • All types of paper

CONVERSION of gas to liquids:

Traditional FT (Fischer Tropsch) converts the synthesis gas into n-paraffins (straight-chain), with liquids having molecules having between 2 and 60 carbon atoms. Typically, 45 weight percent of the liquids have greater than 20 carbons per molecule and are classified as wax. The FT product is then hydrocracked, that is, converted with catalyst, high pressure, and high temperature mainly into C5-C10 paraffins (naphtha) and C11-C20 paraffins (diesel).

Our technology process does not need a hydrocracker since the direct FT product already consists only of the desired naphtha and diesel molecules, and zero wax molecules. This makes the process more economical since it eliminates the need for the expensive hydrocracker and ancillary equipment.

BENEFITS including:

  • Zero sulphur content in fuel
  • Zero aromatics
  • Provides a finished product, not pellets
  • Reduces waste going to landfill
  • Covered with an EPC insurance wrap
  • Modular
  • Zero Emissions
